Week 6: Vegetable Puppets

Last Thursday, when the skies over St. Paul were lower, grayer, and much cooler than they are today, the Roots and Reading crew headed over the the Selby/Dale Community room to make some vegetable puppets!

We used all of our favorite veggies in our puppets. How many veggies can you see on this puppet?

We’re going to use our veggie puppets in some creative activities this week. Many of our youth were so proud of their workmanship, I think we’re going to have some very interesting veggie puppet shows this week.

Naveah poses with her version of a Potato-Head. I think I like the natural version better!

We gave our superheroes super powers. Some of our veggie heroes can even swim though lava (without getting cooked!). Others can fly, and some can change form into another veggie. If you were going to be a veggie superhero, what powers would you have? What veggie would you want to be?

Our veggies have personality!
